2013/14 Awards

The Winners and Honourable Mentions for the 2013/2014 NCRA/ANREC Awards!

image sean warkentineWe would like to congratulate all those honoured at this year's NCRC (hosted by CFUV-FM in Victoria, BC) for all of their hard work, as well as everyone who submitted nominations!

This year we had the highest number of entries yet — from new and longstanding members, campus and community stations, Internet and FM, rural and urban, and the most Francophone submissions to date! These awards truly reflect and recognize some of the vast diversity of our sector. We also had a large number of submissions from producers of the Resonating Reconciliation project in a variety of categories, highlighting the positive work of this project, and demonstrating the continued impact and involvement Indigenous producers are having at their respective stations.

We'd like to thank our jurors Alka Sharma, Laura Yaros, Sarah Buchanan, Rachel Weldon, Mina Sharif, Marie LeBlanc Flanagan, Cynthia King, Nelly Bassily, and Florence Ngué-No for all of their hard work listening and reading all of the submissions. Also a huge thanks to everyone at all of our stations for producing dynamic and important programming that serves our communities.
